They want to hear your views as to how the service can be improved and also invite you to hear about new developments in the field (Primary Care will remain unchanged.) Please do go along and have your say – your views will be very much appreciated and anyone and everyone will be welcome.

Christmas is coming…… advance notice : St. Augustine's Church, Hedon, is holding its annual Christingle Service on Sunday 14th December starting at 3.00pm. Donations at the Service are in aid of The Children's Society "Shining light into Darkness" Project, which is concerned with young victims of bullying throughout the U.K.
Christingle - meaning "Christ Light" - is a special service held between Advent (the Fourth Sunday before Christmas) and Candlemas (February 2nd) , and is a strong symbol of the Christian faith. The Christingle itself is a candle mounted in an orange, tied with a red ribbon, and with the candle is surrounded by four cocktail sticks carrying dried fruit or sweets. The orange represents the world. the candle represents Jesus as the Light of the world, and the four sticks symbolise the four seasons, bearing the fruits of the earth with the red ribbon around the orange symbolising the blood of Christ, who shares the suffering of the world. The full story of the Christingle can be seen on the Children’s Society website : http://www.childrenssociety.org.uk
