Throughout the day a Tombola was run, with participation of the general public, and the organisers would like to thank all who helped in any way to make the day such a success.

Carol Service : The South Holderness Anglican Deanery Carol Service will be held this year on Tuesday December 3rd at St. Augustine's Church, Hedon, and will be led by Rev. W.H. McLaren O.B.E. Members of the Withernsea Methodist Circuit Network have been invited to this service, and all are welcome to attend. Wrapped gifts for Homestart Hull and East Riding will be gratefully accepted at the service.

Carols at Paull Manor : on Tuesday December 3rd the girls of Holderness Rangers will be paying a visit to Paull Manor residential retirement home to entertain the residents with a selection of Christmas songs and carols and to take them Christmas cards and presents. The visit has been an annual event since Paull Guides first opened in 1992, and for many of the older girls this has become part of their own Christmas traditions.

More carol singers wanted! Whilst we're on the subject of carol singing, the parishioners of Preston church have arranged to visit the Victoria House Disabilities Trust on December 10th to entertain the residents with Christmas carols and festive cheer, and are trying to recruit more singers. If you are free on that evening (it's a Tuesday) contact me and I will give you a contact number; if you live in Preston and know who to contact, go ahead - singers of all ages will be most welcome!
